An Interpretation Behind Her Marriage
This divine Mahabharata character has an even extraordinary past which leads to her being the wife of the Pancha Pandavas. Though there are abundant reasons behind this, I have stated the one that fascinated me the most.
In her previous birth, Draupadi was Nalayani - an incarnation of Shyamala(wife of Dharmaraj), Bharati(wife of Vayu), Shachi(Indra's wife), Usha(wife of the Aswini Kumaras) and Parvati(wife of Shiva). All in all, she was also a staunch devotee of Shiva. So, she spent her whole life as Nalayani in penance. This made Shiva so happy that he promised to grant one boon to her.
Since she had spent her whole life without any worldly pleasures, happiness or even a partner, she requested Shiva for a husband with all the 14 qualities that a man should possess - Dharma, Courage, Knowledge, Love, Humanity, and so on. Since there could be no man with all these qualities, he granted her a boon that she would have 5 husbands with all the 14 qualities.
Being an incarnation of Shyamala, Bharati, Shachi and Usha, her 5 husbands were also incarnations of the powers of these 5 gods namely Dharmaraj(Yudhishtir), Vayu(Bheem), Indra(Arjuna), and both the Aswini Kumaras(Nakul and Sahadev).
These brothers had the qualities of their godly fathers respectively.
Yudhishtir-He always spoke the truth and followed the path of Dharma no matter what.
Bheem-He was the strongest and most powerful among the five.
Arjuna-He was the only fully skilled archer among them.
Nakul-He was skilled in Ayurveda like his brother Sahadev and also in horse training. He's regarded as the most handsome man in Mahabharata.
Sahadev-He was skilled in Ayurveda like his brother Nakul and also in Astrology.
Super..... excellent dear....
